Additional Course Information

A weekend on the identification and ecology of mosses and liverworts for anyone who is familiar with identification issues in other plant groups and would like to have a working knowledge of bryophytes. There will be daily field excursions to explore a range of habitats, with afternoons and evenings spent learning the essential identification skills.

Saturday evening will be given over to discussing more general topics of interest, resolving particular areas of difficulty and introducing a few more specialised identification techniques.

The content is also appropriate for anyone wishing to contribute to their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.

Robin Stevenson is a former teacher who has been studying mosses and liverworts for the past 20 years. He wrote the account of the bryophytes in the recently published Flora of Norfolk.
