The course will introduce the biology and taxonomy of parasitic worms and crustaceans from UK fishes - marine and freshwater. It will teach preparation and identification techniques, provide keys, and will introduce typical life cycles and basic host parasite relationships.
Geoff Boxshall, a Fellow of the Royal Society and member of the Zoology Department of the Natural History Museum, is a copepod specialist with considerable experience in the taxonomy and biology of parasitic crustaceans. Eileen Harris is the parasitic worm curator of the Natural History Museum with a lifetimes' experience of parasitic helminths of British and worldwide fauna.
