The National Vegetation Classification is the culmination of 15 years of detailed survey and analysis of British vegetation. This short course will serve as an introduction to the survey methods and analytical techniques associated with the classification. By the end of the course participants will be able to: apply a sampling stratagem appropriate to the structure of the plant community in which they find themselves; organise and undertake an NVC survey; be able to analyse the data collected within the context of the NVC keys and tables.
