Although the weather was absolutely terrible for the first two days and the battering winds and freezing storms on the welsh coast made me need to not only wear nearly all the clothes I packed with me and sleep with two duvet covers in August, the action packed days completely made up for it. From looking under microscopes, to taking surveys, snorkelling to just walking along the beach, we were fully immersed in marine science knowledge.
The field study tutors were so enthusiastic and despite numerous changes in the program due to the weather, we were constantly busy and there was never a dull moment. It was well organised and tailored well to our age group.
Although I held my first starfish, we found the biggest crab I'd ever seen, we ate ice cream on the beach, and had a crabbing competition with some of the locals,my favourite part was just being with and meeting all the other people on the course. We all had such a common interest we all instantly clicked and that's what really made the week!
