First School Travel Partnership

The team at Castle Head are once again working with First (Education & School Travel), part of FirstGroup Plc to provide a "joined up" method of arranging travel-inclusive residential visits for schools and groups for Key Stage 3 programmes in the Lake District.

The special 2 night/3 day Eco-adventure programmes are available to schools in the North West, Yorkshire & Humber and the North East.  The all-inclusive cost per student is just £119.

These programmes have limited spaces and are available to groups of 24 or more with the trips to be delivered November 2012 - February 2013.

Here are some comments from a secondary school group leader who led a visit to Castle Head at the beginning of February 2011 and who has already booked his groups space for 2012.

"Our Eco-adventure residential was superb in all respects and was one of the most enjoyable that I have led. We have already put a repeat visit into our programme for 2012. The students really enjoyed the visit and made a very good impression. As a school, we were proud of them. The balance of science/ecology and adventurous activity was just right and the travel and domestic arrangements were excellent. Castle Head is amongst the very best Centres I have visited. Thanks for your support with all the arrangements. This level of support must be a huge help for beginners at organising residentials, and saved me, even as an old hand at such things, a lot of work".
