Our activity weeks are designed so that each day is exciting and different. Each day will have a different environmental theme, and each week the activities will vary. Below are examples of the types of activity that each day may include..

 Day Activity
Monday - Nature Arts Nature photography, environmental art, landscape sketching and painting, paper making, sculptures and woodland theatre, clay tile making, memory boxes and fossil making
Tuesday - Bushcraft Shelter making, campfires, woodland crafts, nature sticks and orienteering
Wednesday - Animals all around us Small mammal trapping, river dipping for aquatic invertebrates, searching for woodland invertebrates, bush-bashing and grassland sweeping
Thursday - Landscapes Explore the countryside surrounding Juniper Hall. Activities along the walks may include fossil hunting, rock investigations and fun experiments.
Friday - Conservation day Help create 'hotels' for minibeasts and mammals, bee tubes, create bird and bat boxes, stag beetle loggeries and willow weaving.

All activities are appropriate for ages 4-11 but will be pitched at suitable learning levels. Although we are keen to follow this timetable, it cannot be guaranteed as certain activities are subjects to suitable weather!

Last year the Clubs were a big hit and the Juniper Hall Tutors had a fantastic time teaching the variety of days we offered. The children got involved with a range of exciting activities, which included paper making from shredded newspaper, pond dipping, mammal and moth trapping, orienteering and nature walks. There was also some time to fly some kites up on Box Hill and bounce around the grounds of Juniper Hall on the space hoppers. We are looking forward to doing the same again this summer!

If you're interested in booking your kids on the Holiday Clubs, please call the Main Office on 01306 734500 or email us at enquiries.jh@field-studies-council.org.

We hope to see you in the summer!

Please note that, unfortunately, we are unable to accept childcare vouchers.
