 Skomer Island is a short distance away and is an excellent day activity looking at conservation, human influences on the environment and the superb seabird populations. In season, groups can get very close to puffins and other seabirds. |
 Although Dale Fort is very close to the seashore there are many other field sites close by, including bluebell woods a very short distance along the national park trail. Ideal for mini-beast studies. |
