This course is aimed at Geography teachers, NQTs, Excellent Teachers and Heads of Department. The course aims to improve teaching and learning through:

Engaging students using ICT -
Make the most of free and student-friendly software for presenting and analysing fieldwork data, such as Google Earth Graphs, Memory Map and innovative websites.

Learn how to use GPS for student-led learning.

Innovative fieldwork experiences -
Learn from our experience and try out your own ideas.

Real fieldwork which meets specification requirements, with an exciting edge.

Confidence and CPD -
Gain confidence and skills in a wide range of ICT and fieldwork techniques. Interact with an enthusiastic and like-minded group, gain ideas for future CPD or training others in your department.

The course will be led by trained Centre Staff who have a wide range of experiences in the outdoors and in leading groups in the Lake District.
