The course will include a brief introductory talk about the type of bats participants might expect to see, an illustrated talk about bats and a chance to see bat specimens close up in the classroom. Around dusk, a well known site for bat spotting will be visited and participants will have a chance to spot some bats.  The course is aimed at 'families'; children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please bring appropriate clothing/footwear in case the ground is muddy, and plenty of enthusiasm. Places must be booked in advance. Please arrive at the Centre 15 minutes before the course is due to start.  This course will run from 7pm - 9.30pm.

Roger Havard works across Hertfordshire, Middlesex and Essex, and is a qualified bat handler who teaches many courses to both adults and children.
