This course is aimed at the novice hoverfly recorder and will take participants through all aspects of hoverfly identification using a mixture of set material, field collection and powerpoint presentations. The course that has been successfully run for a number of Wildlife Trusts and Natural History Societies and is designed to make sure that participants depart with a comprehensive understanding of hoverfly taxonomy and biology.
Stuart Ball and Roger Morris jointly run the Hoverfly Recording Scheme and are actively involved in many aspects of British Dipterology.
