Shropshire and surrounding counties have a wealth of varied aquatic habitats with a wide range of species. We will use a range of keys to identify plants to family, genus and species and laboratory sessions in the evening will include the use microscopes and to see voucher specimens of a wider range of specimens, with ample opportunity for use of keys, understanding hints and tips and developing an understanding of this complex habitat group.

Sarah Whild is a lecturer in Plant Ecology in the School of Biosciences at the University of Birmingham. Nick Law is an ecologist at Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.
