It will develop skills in field recognition and the identification of key species of bryophytes for the accurate identification of plant communities, full use being made of richly varied local woodland, grassland, coastal, upland and mire communities in Snowdonia and close to the field centre. Ecological indicator species will be highlighted. There will also be opportunities to see some of the special bryophytes for which this part of Wales is noted.
