Shetland

Wild Goose Chase - Autumn Bird Watching on Islay

A quest to see a variety of seabirds and cetaceans off the coast of Scotland. Watching from headlands, charter boats and CalMac ferries, at this time of year we expect to see a variety of unusual seabirds (skuas, petrels and shearwaters), cetaceans and basking sharks. We will visit the Moray Firth, Gairloch, the Isle of Lewis, and, weather permitting, St Kilda.

Martyn Jamieson used to be the Head of Centre at Kindrogan for seven years and has now set up residence on South Uist as a crofter. Jeff Clarke is a freelance ecologist and environmental educator with a lifelong passion for the natural world.

Please note there may be opportunities for additional boat trips which will incur an extra charge.
