This course will be an introduction to the flowers of the many exciting habitats close to the Centre. It is aimed at anyone who loves plants and would like to know more about them, how and where they live, how to use keys, what books to use and how to feel confident in putting a name to them. This course will be an introduction and aims to make the keys more accessible. To do this we will not need to walk up hills or travel great distances. The accent will not be on rarities and we will not spend any time on grasses and sedges. Constant repetition will be used as an aid to learning rather than covering one subject and then moving on to the next.

Martin Robinson is a freelance ecological surveyor and the Vice-County Plant Recorder for East Perthshire. He has wide interests and nothing either growing or moving will be ignored on this wide-ranging course.
