This course offer teachers the opportunity to learn, discuss and share best practice for organising and running independent investigations with A-Level Geography students. Throughout the course, participants will gain practical experience of all stages of the independent investigation process, from the initial planning stages and the fieldwork itself including using GIS, to follow-up analysis and write-up taking place in school.
This course is for anyone involved in the teaching of A-Level students and who wishes to design appropriate and effective fieldwork for the compulsory independent investigation component of A-Level Geography course: teachers, education officers, field tutors etc.
The course will be led by a senior member of the Slapton education team with several years of experience in the design and delivery of geographical fieldwork, and a background in the field of geography.
