This is a hands-on day will take place outdoors and you will be cooking! It will give participants the opportunity to see the practical applications of food hygiene when cooking outside. The course will covebacteria in the woods, food storage temperatures – how to manage these without a fridge. Chopping boards – which ones to take and how to clean; high risk foods – the surprise of the scary carrot! Cooking temperatures, personal hygiene and that of the students! Food allergies and other contaminants.
Your trainers will be Sal Teasedale from Anubis Uk Ltd and Julie Grainger, Forest School Leader and Trainer here at Bishops Wood. Anubis UK Ltd have been delivering CEIH approved courses in food hygiene for many years. They also deliver our First Aid in the Outdoors courses here at Bishops Wood
