AAP LOGO Dof E For WebAre you a 6th former considering a degree in geology, earth sciences or geography? Are you an undergraduate who would like to improve your geology? Would you like a career in geology, earth sciences or physical geography? Do you want to meet working geologists and educators?

This residential course will immerse participants in geological technique and fieldwork at stunning locations in Pembrokeshire. You will have the chance to study a range of geological structures and rock types at world-renowned locations and to meet local experts.

The course is suitable for anyone with an interest in Geology, whether they are studying it or not, and is ideal for anyone considering further study in Geology. This course meets the requirements of Duke of Edinburgh Gold Residential – always check with your DofE leader before booking.

The camp has been created to offer young people an opportunity to explore future career or studying options. This residential will enable them to find out more about geology, hear from experts working in the field and share the experience with others with similar interests.

It will include:
• Visits to a range of amazing geological sites around Pembrokeshire
• Practising geological survey techniques
• Talks from working geologists and earth scientists.

Dave Green is an experienced geology tutor, teaching and leading field trips at all levels from GCSE to Undergraduate over the past 40 years. He has no particular specialism, but is especially interested in 'hard rock' geology and landscape development.
