The course programme will focus on practical skills and knowledge, with emphasis on planning, weather, assessing risk, health and safety, nature art, woodland eco-systems, shelter building, fire lighting, introduction to cutting tools, journeying/navigation, knot work and playscapes. The weekend will be structured around experience based learning, allowing participants enjoy a hands on, practical approach to outdoor learning whilst working in small groups or pairs.
No prior outdoor learning experience is necessary and all outdoor waterproof clothing, including wellies, is provided.
Upon completion, participants will receive a FSC Certificate of Attendance and a Leave No Trace Awareness Certificate.
