FSC sparks butterfly interest

At FSC we love to inspire children and young people about the natural world.

Douglas Boyes, whose interest in moths was ignited by attending a family course at FSC Slapton Ley, was one of the first cohort of FSC Young Darwin Scholars in 2012 and has recently completed a degree in biological science at Oxford also finds time to be the county butterfly recorder for Montgomeryshire.

Having just completed his final exams at university Douglas has spent the first part of his ‘holiday’ updating and publicising the digital atlas of the  Butterflies of Montgomeryshire. Douglas will be sharing his knowledge of moths with you people on the Wild Skills Week at FSC Preston Montford in July 22 – 26  July – Wild Skills Week
