Prince Harry visits FSC Epping Forest
FSC Epping Forest was delighted to welcome Prince Harry today, who visited the area as to view the local Wood Pasture Restoration Project which is part of The Queen's Commonwealth Canopy.
As part of his morning in Epping Forest he spoke with school children undertaking outdoor learning saying how lovely it was for them to be outside the classroom. The Prince also told the children how important it is for them to care about areas like the special woodland of Epping, and that it was up to them to protect it in the future.
Centre Manager Helen Robertson said: “It was a very special day for us at FSC Epping Forest. We are really proud of the work we do delivering outdoor learning in our wonderful surroundings, and it was brilliant to hear Prince Harry expressing the importance of caring about the natural world.
We are so pleased that Epping Forest is part of the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy initiative, which helps with the conservation of many of our amazing forest habitats.”
