Professor Steve Jones on the importance of first hand experience
The latest issue of the FSC Member's Magazine featured a fascinating reflection from Professor Steve Jones on fieldwork - from Darwin to his own early experiences visiting FSC.
Steve Jones is Emeritus Professor of Genetics at UCL and has had a lifelong passion for science and considers first hand experiences as absolutely key saying: "The study of biology, geology and the rest is a living experience, and without field work it can be (and often is) killed stone dead."
