Road race passes FSC
Over the weekend the London 2012 Olympic cycling road races passed two fabulous FSC locations; Juniper Hall at Box Hill in Surrey and Bushy Park, one of the Royal Parks where FSC are the environmental education provider.
Both the men’s race on Saturday and the women’s on Sunday followed the route with thousands of supporters waving them on.
The women’s race finished with Team GB winning their first 2012 medal, when Lizzie Armitstead took the silver.

The equestrian events will be taking place at another of the Royal Parks, Greenwich Park this week.
FSC have centres across the UK which offer geography and science fieldwork for students at all key stages along with a programme of professional development and leisure course exploring the natural world. They have been running urban geography sessions from their base the View Tube, which overlooks the Olympic Park, during the run up to the Games, looking at the regeneration of the area.
