Spring into Moth Trapping

Although spring and summer see many more, there are moths active all year round. One of the best ways to learn more about the fascinating world of moths, and the 2,000+ species in the UK is by doing some moth trapping.

Most of our FSC locations run regular moth traps in the spring and summer months, recording the species and frequency found.

This helps to monitor the environment around us, and any changes over time.

For a fantastic introduction to the world of moths why not join Spring Moths for Beginners, coming up on Saturday 28th April at Epping Forest. This course is just £40 for a packed afternoon and evening, learning all about the world of moths before trying out some trapping.  Places still available here
