AQA A Key Stage 4 (GCSE) Science
These courses enable students to undertake investigative fieldwork to help prepare them for the Unit 4 Controlled Assessment, while improving their science knowledge and understanding. Each day students' will complete the full investigative sequence while also covering parts of the specification; allowing them to improve their practical and How Science Works skills.
Combined Science3 day
This course presents students with opportunities to use their knowledge and understanding to pose scientific questions and plan and carry out outdoor, investigative and practical enquiry based Physics, Chemistry and Biology. To develop students understanding of How Science Works and the scientific process, investigations will be based on parts of the specification such as:
- Infrared radiation
- Energy transfer by heating
- Energy and efficiency
- Changes in the Earth and its atmosphere
- Limestone and building materials
- Air Pollution
- Adaptations
- Distribution of organisms
