Fulfil their potential

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma

Fieldwork courses for IB Diploma Programme or Career-related Certificate

FSC has developed specific fieldwork courses for the IB Diploma Programme or Career-related Certificate, in particular to support IB Diploma BiologyIB Diploma Geography and IB Diploma Environmental Systems and Societies. The courses run with emphasis on covering relevant syllabus content and practical work in accordance with the relevant course guides. There are also courses in support of the IBDP core requirements, with activities for Creativity, Action and Service (CAS) and links to Theory of Knowledge (ToK).

Fieldwork investigations offer an opportunity for teachers to carry out internal assessment of student work and to complete the hours required for the Practical Scheme of Work (PSOW) in Biology and Environmental Systems and Societies.  They also provide a valuable chance for students to experience learning in the outdoor classroom in support of the course guide requirements.

These fieldwork courses are designed to meet IB syllabus requirements whilst offering the most cost effective way of visiting an FSC Centre.
