Junior Certificate

Experience shows that fieldwork can play a vital part in enthusing junior certificate students and can provide the inspiration which convinces them that biology is what they want to do!  Its 'hands on' approach provides opportunities for first hand discovery and supports students' understanding of biology.

As well as covering specific elements of the biology curriculum all fieldwork courses at  FSC Derrygonnelly also place a strong emphasis on developing personal confidence, team-building and problem solving skills and opportunities to consider aspects of Citizenship.

Courses can been specifically designed to meet the requirements of Section 1C: Animals, Plants and Micro-organisms of the junior certificate science syllabus.
