Investigating air pollution

Regent's Park pollution investigation

Summary of the investigation

In this investigation, pupils use simple equipment to take rapid measurements of particulate pollution along a belt transect to assess the extent to which vehicle emissions are dispersed with distance from the main road. The pupils sample the trees for particulates using sticky tape.
