FSC Publications produce a variety of publications of interest to environmental professionals, with a particular focus on identification guides. The accurate identification of specimens is a fundamental part of most fieldwork. If your identification skills are rusty or you are working on a new group don’t worry, the FSC produces a wide range of guides and keys to take you from beginner to expert.

Our introductory series of Fold-out charts now has over 30 titles covering a diverse range of organisms. These include a range of habitat-based charts to help you get to grips with flowering plants. While for licensed bat workers, our Guide to bats includes a key to bats in the hand, as well as chart to help identify bats in flight.
A major feature of all the AIDGAP guides is the extensive testing they undergo before final publication. This ensures they are accurate, easy to use and suitable for beginners or people new to the group. Whether you need to identify Woodlice or Trees in winter, an AIDGAP guide can help. New AIDGAP guides to Land snails and Freshwater bivalves are available in now.
For those needing more specialised keys we publish both the Synopses of the British Fauna and the Royal Entomological Society Handbooks.
