Eco-Centre
As part of our ethos of sustainability, Rhyd-y-Creuau became the first Ecocentre in Wales during 1999. The main aim is to reduce, recycle and reuse as much as we can. So we recycle plastic, paper and aluminium cans used by the centre, as well as cardboard, wood and metal. We also run a community based composting scheme for local residences of Betws-y-Coed. We have recently introduced water saving devices on our new showers and have energy saving light bulbs throughout the building. We are always open to new ideas and as such encourage our visitors to take part and enrol in our Ecocentre project.
