It has six workrooms, each with white boards, multi-media projection facilities and a class set of equipment. The Centre also has a resource room containing reference books, journals and specimens and four outdoor classroom spaces with seating. For recreation periods the centre has a reception area with LCD screen, a kitchen with hot and cold drink making facilities and picnic areas within the grounds. Situated in the heart of Epping Forest, the centre grounds of approximately six acres, has a range of habitats including ponds (Lily Pond, Frog Pond and Bird Garden Pond), grassland and woodland. The centre also has sensory garden beds, a butterfly garden, a Bird garden, ananalemmatic sundial, four run off slopes and a weather station with data readings dating back 20 years. The Centre has a supply of wellington boots in a range of sizes and a boot wash, Epping Forest Visitor Centre run by the City of London Corporation is nearby and 'goody bags' can be ordered for visiting groups. |
