• Do one thing for nature with the FSC and BBC Breathing Places   Field Studies Council has been working with the BBC and other partner organisations as part of the BBC Breathing Places campaign to provide help for schools to create space for plants and wildlife in school grounds.
• Olympic Vision…FSC to develop a London Education Centre?   The FSC has just published a feasibility study into developing a world-leading urban education residential centre in East London. The centre would offer outdoor education opportunities to London schools, but also to visitors from outside the region and the UK. The idea has already gathered tremendous support from local communities but also education leaders. We are now looking into the suitable places and possible sponsors…if you have any ideas please contact us.
• New identification guide to owl pellets published   This unique 8-page fold-out chart is both an identification guide to OWLS and a practical resource for investigating OWL PELLETS.
• New identification guide to Orchids published   Orchid identification chart for identifying orchids.
• Have a Green Family Summer   Looking for a summer holiday? There is no need to get on a plane or travel abroad, you can have fun and find out more about the world that surrounds us on a family holiday course run by environmental education charity Field Studies Council (FSC).
• International Darwin Scholarship 8th-18th August 2008   As part of the Darwin 200 Anniversary celebrations the FSC is launching a Darwin Scholarship course at Preston Montford Field Centre in the UK, located near Shrewsbury– the birthplace of Charles Darwin.
