Our expert learning team run a range of exciting nature-inspired activities for families.
You could be pond dipping, helping your children discover an underwater world, sweep netting in our meadow or bug hunting at our minibeast hotel. Each session is themeed around nature and wildlife that we can discover and learn more about. With nature inspired activities that will have you outside enjoying the fresh air. The activities are suitable for the whole family to enjoy, allowing you and your children to connect with nature together (and giving you the chance to find your inner child!).
To help plan and safely staff the sessions, please book your place in advance.
This is an event for families with children of any age. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Tutor: Centre Staff
This course will be led by our experienced and enthusiastic tutors.Field Studies Council want to inspire people to be curious, caring and passionate about our environment. Our family activities are designed to do just that. Led by Field Studies Council staff, they are based outdoors, and explore the natural world. The sessions are a mix of games and activities that will inspire you to find out more and discover how you can help wildlife on your doorstep. To take part you do not need any experience or any expensive kit, just an enthusiasm for being outside and discovering nature.
