Children’s Foraging and Wildlife Tracking

Location: Tollymore, County Down.

This one day workshop will take participants on a journey through Tollymore Forest Park in search of signs of wildlife and edible delights. Your tutor, an expert forager and tracker, will provide participants with the knowledge to safely identify and sustainably harvest their own woodland foods through species identification, while also searching for tracks and signs of diverse wildlife. Fun, nature-inspired games and awareness activities will bring these subjects to life for children, hopefully instilling a lifelong wish to protect and engage in a positive way with our wild places.

This course runs from 10am to 4pm, and one parent per child may attend if they wish.
