Thanks to funding from the Generation Green project we’re offering a limited number of subsidised places on day and residential courses at our stunning fieldwork locations.

FSC is delighted to be working with the Generation Green project supporting young people to understand the environment and green economy. As the leading provider of outdoor fieldwork experiences for secondary students, we are working with the project to deliver subsidised courses at our accessible fieldwork locations.


Day courses

Choose from 43 GCSE and A Level Biology, Geography and Science day courses available at a heavily subsidised rate – pay only £12 per student!  

Our day courses enable your students to discover nature through outdoor learning as well as covering curriculum content. All courses are carefully linked to the curriculum and delivered by one of our expert tutors. We spend as much time as possible outdoors and aim to inspire students about the natural world in general, as well as covering specific course content. When can the day course take place?

You can book day courses to take place between 1st September 2021 and 31 March 2022 – include your preferred dates when you apply. The course must be taking place before end March 2022, when the funding ends.

How much does the day course cost?

You pay just £12 per student (non-subsidised rate up to £32) saving up to £20 per student on the usual cost.

Our secondary school day courses offer excellent first hand experiences for your students, all linked to the curriculum. Days are packed with content, led by our expert tutors and students spend as much time outdoors as possible.

Who is eligible?

Generation Green is funding is aimed at young people aged 14 to 26 years from the North, Midlands, and coastal and deprived urban areas. We will check your school’s eligibility when you apply.

Residential subsidies are valid against any course for schools that meet the Generation Green eligibility criteria.

When can the residential course take place?

Subsidies can be used against any residential field trip taking place between 1st September 2021 and 31st March 2022. The course must be taking place before end March 2022, when the funding ends.

How much does the residential course cost?

Eligible schools can book a residential course from £20 per student, saving up to £120 per student with Generation Green funding. The amount of subsidy depends on the number of nights the residential course is booked for.
