Field Studies Council: Bringing Environmental Understanding to All

Nature in Focus

Wednesday 8th June 2016
7.30 pm – 8:30 pm

Friends of Bishops Wood invite everyone interested in wildlife or photography to attend a fascinating illustrated talk by Rosemary Winnall MBE. The talk will be held at Bishops Wood Centre, Crossway Green, Stourport, DY13 9SE.

Rosemary was for many years the Education Officer at the Wyre Forest Discovery Centre and is an expert on the wildlife of the Wyre Forest and other parts of Worcestershire. Rosemary is one of the principal authors and editors of the new book “The Nature of Wyre” published by Pisces and packed full of detailed information and wonderful photographs.

Rosemary has discovered species in Worcestershire that had never been recorded before and has led plant surveys at Bishops Wood and elsewhere. "Rosemary is much in demand as a speaker in venues across the West Midlands and we are very lucky that she has accepted our invitation to talk on the Wildlife in Worcestershire, illustrated by her acclaimed photographs of plants, insects, mammals and birds.

The talk will be followed by a short AGM for Friends of Bishops Wood and anyone who wishes to stay on for this after Rosemary’s talk would be very welcome."
