If you're searching for self catering group accommodation in the Lake District then Blencathra Centre could be the perfect answer. Situated in the Northern Lake District, Blencathra Centre is positioned on the lower of slopes of Blencathra mountain and only a short distance from the popular town of Keswick and Derwent Water, making it the idea base to explore the Lakeland Fells. Explore the area further on our Location page.
Blencathra Centre is one of the FSC's educational centres, specialised in a variety of school courses, and Natural History courses for individual groups. As such, the centre also boasts a range of indoor and outdoor expeditions to keep you entertained over the several days spent here.
Blencathra’s self catering rooms can house up to 110 people, with two rooms designed for disabled use. The accommodation available mostly consists of shared bedrooms, some with en suite facilities and drink making amenities. The centre's site also hosts a basketball court, pool table, and several TV lounges. The Centre also has a self catering hostel that sleeps up to 22 people which can be hired out for a reunion, celebration or just a weekend get together separately from the main house.
