Join FSC Tollymore this July for their first Outdoor Learning Symposium, a brilliant activity-packed weekend for anyone interested in the outdoors.
Everyone is invited to come and take part in the choice of sessions to discover more about the outdoors, or a particular sport. The event is at Tollymore Field Studies Centre, close to Newcastle in County Down, with state-of-the-art onsite facilities and stunning locations nearby like the Mourne Mountains and coastline.
Friday 6th July is all about the kids, with activities especially for 6-17 year olds like rock climbing, nature art, paddle boarding and fire lighting. The day is £18 to attend, with parents free of charge.
Saturday 7th- Sunday 8th July will offer an adults-only weekend with a wide choice of daytime activities like campfire cooking, introduction to beekeeping, forest therapy, orienteering and freediving, along with engaging speakers in the evening. Resident or non-resident tickets are on offer at £120 and £80.
Project Officer at FSC Tollymore Mark O’Connor explains: “Here at Tollymore we offer a huge range of courses and activities celebrating the amazing environment around us. This weekend is a great way for us to open the doors to as many people as possible, and hopefully introduce them to something new and exciting about the outdoors.”
FSC, Field Studies Council, is an environmental education charity with centres across the UK.
