FSC London Region
FSC has delivered environmental learning for those based in London for many years. It has two day centres (Amersham and Epping Forest) and a residential centre (Juniper Hall) within easy reach of London. FSC has also delivered innovative funded projects such as London Challenge and Eco Challenge to help give inner city young people the opportunity to experience the natural world; this sits very closely with the charity's roots which date back to 1943 when it was formed in the Natural History Museum in London.
More recently, FSC made the decision to find ways to replicate its quality educational experiences within London. We work in partnership with The Royal Parks to deliver courses from Bushy Park, Greenwich Park and the Regent's Park.
However, environmental understanding means more to FSC than the natural world so we have been developing urban geography fieldwork opportunities for schools using areas around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and sites across east London including Docklands and Greenwich Park.
