Field Studies Council: Bringing Environmental Understanding to All

Nettlecombe Court is proud to work with a range of partners in the local area. Those that we work with often share the same values as the FSC and help us to deliver the vision of the charity. We are currently working with organisations such as Exmoor National Park, Somerset Wildlife Trust and Heart of Exmoor.

Nettlecombe Watch Club

Wildlife Watch is the junior branch of The Wildlife Trusts and is the UK’s leading environmental action club for young people. FSC Nettlecombe Court hosts Nettlecombe Watch Club for Somerset Wildlife Trust; a great example of the FSC working with partner organisations. The club meets once a month and members take part in a variety of activities and events, all aimed at helping young people (and a few older ones too!) learn more about the wildlife around us. The recording below was made when we were investigating the 'Sounds of Spring'.

Every month we do something different. Sometimes we're at Nettlecombe and sometimes exploring further afield; we're always finding different ways to explore the natural world around us. We aim to make our sessions both fun and informative and feedback from our members tells us we're pretty good at it! If interested, phone Nettlecombe on 01984 640320 or email [email protected] and we'll see you next month!
