Deputy First Minister John Swinney visited FSC Millport today for the Convention of Highlands and Islands. He took the opportunity to take a tour of the excellent facilities and meet staff and visiting groups.
The Deputy First Minister spoke to both primary and secondary aged students, who were at FSC Millport for residential trips carrying out fieldwork and outdoor learning.
FSC Millport delivers outdoor learning for all ages from primary to university and also offers a programme of natural history and arts courses for adults.
John Swinney also met staff working at the Centre including Centre Manager Alex MacFie, Modern Apprentice Natalie Wilson and Skipper Duncan Fraser. He fondly recalled visits to the island as a child.
