We will spend our days snorkelling, rock pooling, crabbing and looking out for interesting sea life.

As well as adventure, there will be opportunity to relax on the beach, play beach games and discover the wildlife and natural history of the area.​

You will have one afternoon and evening free so that you and your family can go out and explore the local area. Ask your adventure leader on the best places to visit!​

If your child will be under the age of three on time of arrival, please select the ‘Infant’ booking option so they can attend for free!

Centre info and ice breakers​ such as aquarium touch tanks and team games

Day 2

Morning
Rock pooling​ – we get our hands dirty and explore marine life in the tidal zone

Afternoon
Snorkelling 1​ – Introduction session

Evening
What wanders at night – rodents, bats and moths

Day 3

Morning
Snorkelling  2nd session - Exploration

Afternoon
Boat Excursion with RV Actinia ​- we explore Great Cumbrae from the sea and a good chance for encounters with seals and sea-birds

Evening
Orienteering – an entertaining approach to a relevant skill including some science bits

Day 4

Morning
Exploration of the tiny-world – we investigate microscopic organisms on land and in the sea

Afternoon
Raft Building and if the rafts are good enough, then a raft race!

Evening
A fun-approach on outdoor safety and first aid around the campfire

Day 5

Morning
Cumbrae walk​ – we explore Great Cumbrae on foot, learn about the history and geology of the island. The walk ends in Millport where you can spend your free afternoon if you want.

Rock climbing and archery – a good combination and opportunities for all skill and physical levels.

Bushcraft and shelter-building culminating in BBQ – build a shelter for yourself or for birds and bees!

Campfire – time for stories, songs, and jokes!

Day 7

Morning
Beach art and crafts – mermaid’s diaries, sailor’s valentine & Co. – time to create your individual souvenir
