Join us for a taster day at Castle Head Field Centre, Cumbria to find out what Field Studies Council can offer you, and to experience the learning location and teaching first hand.
During the day your full schedule will include an introductory walk and talk around the centre, a breakdown of the courses available for your classes, a CPD workshop on outdoor learning, and a fun interactive adventure session when you can ‘have a go’.

Castle Head is an impressive Georgian house situated in 20 hectares of extensive private grounds in beautiful South Cumbria. Castle Head offers a huge range of exciting outdoor adventure activities to suit all ages and abilities with raft building, canoeing, ghyll-scrambing, low and high ropes, mine exploration, an obstacle course and much more all on-site.

- 9.30am Arrival coffee
- 10.00am Welcome walk and talk
- 10.30am CPD workshop – outdoor learning
- 11.45pm Have a go – adventure activities
- 1.00pm Light lunch
- 2.00pm Depart centre
