An informal ‘open lab’ day for local entomologists of any level of experience to come together and work on their invertebrate ID skills, and/or catalogue and maintain the Preston Montford invertebrate collections. A classroom, microscopes , the collections and the Biodiversity Library will be available, with support from FSC BioLinks Officer Charlie Bell. These days are designed to be fun and sociable, with a chance to meet and work alongside other local entomologists.

Charlie will be working in the lab between 10am and 4pm. You are welcome to join her for the full day, or drop in for part of the day.

You will have access to tea and coffee making facilities but please bring lunch and any other refreshments you require.

Dr Charlie Bell joined the FSC in Feb 2015 to work on the Tomorrow's Biodiversity project. She now works as the FSC BioLinks Project Officer in the West Midlands. Her varied interests range from chalk stream ecology and management through to birds, moths, springtails, earthworms and, since joining FSC, Spiders & Harvestmen!

This course is heavily subsidised by the FSC BioLinks Project (funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund).

There is no formal booking form for this event. Please email Charlie Bell if you think you might come along.
