Sea and Landscapes with an Abstract Element Using Acrylics

  • Location: Slapton Ley
  • Tutor: Susan Gray
  • Dates: Friday 10 August 2018 to Sunday 12 August 2018
  • Times: 05:30 PM - 04:00 PM
  • Level: Intermediate
  • NON-RESIDENT: £180

This course is fully booked on this date but you can join the waiting list (by scrollling to the bottom of the page) in case space becomes available or it is run on another date.

We will visit various sites to sketch in the medium of your choice (demos where appropriate) and aim to record the atmosphere, mood and landscape features that are important to us. We will return to the indoor classroom and experiment with different ways of using this information, simplifying it so that we may create acrylic paintings with an abstract feel. We will try various mark making methods and experiment with knife painting, large brushes and other implements.

Susan Gray was formally trained in Fine Art at Buckinghamshire Chiltern University College. She has a studio in Wendover Bucks where she exhibits her work and teaches. She exhibits in galleries in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire and regularly demonstrates at art societies.
