This is a course designed especially for those with some experience in watercolour painting who have a love of and interest in flowers and plants and now wish to take their first steps in botanical illustration. The course begins with close observation of the subject and some sketching. We will look at composition and cover colour mixing and colour matching to our specimens, plus all those watercolour techniques needed to achieve the various textures required by the botanical illustrator. A full materials and equipment list is provided in the course details leaflet.
