We will spend some time in the classroom learning reptile ID features then, subject to the weather, search for reptiles on campus and at a nearby site to practice surveying and identification. The main aims of the course are: To acquire and practise identification skills, To explore reptile habitats and examine key habitat features, To learn about behaviour and ecology of these animals to help locate them in the field. This course is not designed for consultants.
John is a conservation ecologist who has been working with amphibians and reptiles for over 20 years. He manages Regional, Science and Training Programmes for the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust (ARC) and is involved in running the National Amphibian and Reptile Recording Scheme (NARRS).
