FSC is Awarded the Investors in People Accreditation
The Field Studies Council are delighted to announce that they have been awarded the Investors in People (IiP) external accreditation for a further 3 three years, with “empowering and involving people” highlighted as the organisations highest performing area.
Investors in People sets the standard for better people management and is an internationally recognised accreditation held by 10,000 organisations across the world. IiP state that "Organisations that meet the world-recognised Investors in People Standard reflect the very best in people management excellence".
The assessors have submitted a report to the FSC which highlights areas of best practice and also ones to work on to take its people management practices to the next level. Ten FSC centres, including Head Office, were involved in the assessment and nearly 100 staff were interviewed. 75% of staff responded to the online assessment, far above the IiP guidelines of 34% meaning that the sample was considered statistically significant.
The report explained that “People at all levels expressed pride and commitment to what the organisation brings to the field of education, environmental understanding and custodianship of often unique local eco-systems.”
Caroline Bailey, People Development Officer at FSC commented, “This is a massive achievement for us as a Charity and a celebration to hold onto. I would like to pass on my sincere thank you to all staff who either took their time to complete the on-line assessment, spoke with the assessors or covered work to enable the assessments to take place.”
