Marcus is an ecologist based at the University of Exeter’s Environment and Sustainability Institute and interested in how species are responding to habitat and climate change. Butterflies are a real passion of his, forming the focus for much of his research. Marcus did his undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences at Cambridge and a Masters in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation at the Silwood Park campus of Imperial College London. He started his PhD with the University of Exeter in 2019 and is currently located at the Penryn campus down in Cornwall.
