Explore the vast and beautiful surroundings of Tollymore Field Centre and the lowlands of the Mourne Mountains, while developing skills and knowledge in communication, map reading, navigation, survival, landforms, Leave No Trace, biodiversity and wildlife.

Landscape Exploration and Navigation
Embark on a journey through Tollymore Forest Park learning map reading and navigation.
Undertake a variety of fun and engaging team challenges to promote social skills, communication and teamwork.
Working in the nearby Shimna River to investigate the river’s characteristics and wildlife.
Focusing on Fire Lighting, Shelter Building and Campfire Cooking, students will learn new practical skills while working in small teams.
On a journey led by the students, we will explore the forest at dusk in search of deer and other wildlife.
Choose from a range of exciting outdoor activities like ropes courses, rock climbing and kayaking*.
A final farewell from FSC staff as the students depart at midday.
