The spider-hunting wasps, or Pompilidae, are a beautiful and fascinating group of solitary wasps. This course will provide a refresher on the identification of spider-hunting wasps and a chance to get your own specimens verified and your identifications checked. It is most suitable for those who have previously attended a spider-hunting wasp course, or who are experienced with identifying other groups of wasps to species level.
Please note that this course will involve the use of specimens that have been killed and preserved.
This course is taking place at FSC Bishops Wood, please see the course brochure below for more info.
FSC BioLinks courses are highly subsidised thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
